Homework

Homework is going well in all your homes, I hope!

Please continue with the Jolly Phonics songs. We have done these sounds so far – s, a, t, i, p, n, c, k, e, h, r, m, d, g, o, u, l, f, b and j.

Play “I Spy with my little eye something beginning with the sound …….” (as above). It is very important that your child can identify the first sound in words at this stage. Ask your child to tell you some words that begin with the sound …. This might be difficult at first but will get so much easier with practice.

I will be sending home a “Word Bag” with your child tomorrow. It contains the words we have learned in school. Please work on these words with your child, they are well used to them in class. Let them make little phrases – “Danny and Zeb”, “Hello Mum”, “Goodbye Josh” and any combination of the words in the bag.

If you could make the “Word Bag” part of your homework routine, that would be great! I will be adding more and more words to this bag as we learn them.
